A “good source” of vitamin C contains a substantial amount of vitamin C in relation to its calorie content and contributes at least 10 percent of the U.S. Adequate Intake (AI) for vitamin C in a selected serving size. The U.S. AI for vitamin C is 90 milligrams per day for men and 75 milligrams per day for women. The U.S. AI given is for adults ages 19–50, and the recommended changes are for pregnant and/or lactating women. Consult your healthcare provider for these differences. The AI is also increased for smokers. Smoking increases oxidative stress—as a result, it is recommended that smokers consume 35 more milligrams of vitamin C per day.

How come after a week my A/C wall unit can't keep the room cold?
This is my second a/c unit I got for my apartment bedroom, I already returned the model once. I have a box in the wall that is meant for A/C units, so it's not installed on a window sill. The compressor used to stay on pretty much all the time, and now it stays on for about 10 minutes and only gets down to about 80. Also I have duct tape around the edges to keep the room from exposure to the heat outside. Am I doing something wrong, are these boxes in the wall no good for A/C units?
How come after a week my A/C wall unit can't keep the room cold?
there are many reasons why your window air conditioner won't work correctly: if is blowing cold air but it just do not cool the room, maybe the btu rating is too low for the size of the room, you would need about 5000 to 6000 BTU to cool an area of around 200 to 400 sqft. so if this is the problem is that your working this unit too much, so eventually is going to stop making cold air at all and also "YOU ARE WASTING ENERGY" the other reason may be that you have really bad luck and you got a defective unit twice. I suggest for you to check the square footage of your room and maybe you may need a bigger unit or go back and get another one they usually come with a 90 day guarantee. Good Luck!

Reply:Is it the kind that's meant to be in a window sill? Or is it the kind of small box type a/c unit that you could just set on a table or wherever?
Maybe it's "set" at 80 degrees and you just need to adjust it. Look at the manual. Or change the filter... Or maybe the duct tape is not letting the air be able to flow properly. They make small a/c's that don't need to be in a wall or window.
Reply:How big is the unit?? (BTU)
Is the unit condensating outside. (Cold water run off dripping from the back side)
If the unit is shutting off it either means it is satisfied. The return air is telling the unit it has reached its degree and to shut down..
If the front of the unit blocked by anything??? It must have a un-impeded flow of return air to work properly.
Is the air filter dirty? Blocking the return air across the coils by a dirty filter will effect the performance of the unit.
Reply:Check settings! Is the unit rated for efficiency? It may be too small for the room, and the overheat switch in the unit is shutting it down. Also if it worked properly for a while, the compressor overheat switch is defending the compressor from burn out.
Some units have a de-ice circuit that shuts them down when they ice up on the evaporator. If they don't cycle, they aren't big enough. You may need a 220 volt unit. And a much bigger hole to put it in. Plus an electrician to rewire the circuit.

How long after a c-section should I wait to travel?
I am scheduled for a c-section on July 18th. My husbands sister and her family are coming to visit about ten days later, but they will be staying about 3 hours away form where we live with his parents. I am truly excited to spend time with my neice and nephews and also my Sister in law who i am very close with. I am wondering if it would be okay to travel that distance with the baby so soon after birth and also if I might prolong my recovery of a c-section.
How long after a c-section should I wait to travel?
i had a planned c-section 3 weeks ago. when they have you start walking ask for a support band that wraps around your tummy. i think that makes recovery so much quicker. at 1 week i had to take my baby to her doctor so i was quite fine to be in a car. at 2 weeks i was in a car for an hour and 45 minutes traveling to go see all the greats-/grandparents.
i think planned c-sections have a better outcome than emergency. you have the time to know what to expect and be realistic about the outcome rather than going in trying vaginally and then being dragged into have an emergency c-section. that can be more traumatic and stressful. you more likely will be fine to travel but you need to think about your little one here. if there are going to be kids around or somebody sick you shouldn't really go on that trip until their first shots. thats what my daughters doctor had told me. i was also informed that since i was breastfeeding 2 weeks was about the earliest i could take her out since she has somewhat of an immune system then compared to if she was just eating formula. you should talk to the pediatrician at the first check-up before you make final plans.
Reply:Talk to your dr about it, but i would say you should be ok to go. Keep in mind though that you have to be flexable, because what if you have bad pain, or the baby just unexpectedly ill, or you're just simply too tired? Also, keep in mind that sitting for long periods of time might be uncomfortable for you, so you might want to invest in a nice pillow to sit on and schedule in some rest stops. I would take a "wait and see" attitude, but as long as your pain isn't bad, and the baby is healthy you should be just fine in a nice car ride :) Have fun!
Reply:I had 3 C-sections and traveled when I felt comfortable to do so. Just make sure that you stop and stretch several times. You may find , after only 10 days that you aren't ready for that long of a trip. Could they meet you somewhere halfway? The baby will be fine to travel, it's your comfort that might be the problem.
Reply:I had a c section and it sucked. Your pretty sore for a while. But its all up to you, if you feel up to it then go for it. I traveled 3 hours about 2 weeks after i had my baby and it was pretty rough.
Reply:I would hold off. My c-section was 6 months ago today, and it went very well, and I recovered reasonably quick, but for the first couple of months, I stuck to very short car trips, like to the pediatrician's office and home, because I couldn't stand being in a car for very long. The bumps, the not being able to move or adjust...it's just a lot to ask from someone who just had MAJOR surgery.
I would offer to let them come visit you for a night, and ANYONE would understand that you JUST had a c-section, and that you have a brand new baby.
Even if they came out for a day trip, say left wherever they are at like 7a.m., got to your place around 10 a.m., and then left that night around 7p.m. or so, that's plenty of time to visit, and they wouldn't have to stay the night.
I know it sucks, because you think the baby is out and it's time to get back to normal, but remember that you will not only be taking care of your beautiful new baby, you will also be taking care of yourself and recovering from a MAJOR physical trauma.
Be careful! And congrats!
Reply:I would agree with SillyGirl. I had a C-section in January and wasn't ready for display until at LEAST the end of March. I was in pain, bloated not to mention exhausted on top of it! You will be coming off of major surgery PLUS the added burden(wonderful though) of a beautiful baby! Give yourself time and space, you will need it!
Reply:I had a csection 8 months ago...and for the first month...every little bump in the road hurt...I wouldn't sit in a car for 3 hours if you paid me.
AND you're going to be wearing giant hospital maxi pads, bleeding and tired...no way...not even if you paid me.
**(I also drive a big *** truck....that's probably bumpier than a sedan or something...lol...but still...NO)
You won't even be walking normal yet....
A csection is MAJOR abdominal surgery...don't under estimate how incapacitated you'll be.
Personally...I'd rather make up the guest room or put them up in a hotel locally for the night...just to avoid the travel.
I wouldn't take a newborn on a road trip either.
BAD IDEA
Good Luck
***BY THE WAY - I feel this way and I had a text book csection, with zero complications and I have an extrememly high threshold for pain and I didn't even take any pain meds and there's still no way i'd do it...God forbid there are any complications or you have a low pain tolerance.
Reply:Nope, sorry but you dont need to go anywhere after a c-section, you need to get lots of rest, YOU MUST REMEMBER that a c-section is MAJOR surgery...if you want to see them then they HAVE to come to you...Sorry but common Sense says that, you need at least 4-6 weeks of rest so you can heal properly!
Reply:NO. Dont do it. Why? I had 2 c-sections nine months apart. Trust me when you have a c-section all you will want to do is stay in your bed. You have to move but Not for a long period of time. It hurts im not going to lie to you. It hurts when you ccough sneeze and when you poop too. When I was going home i live 10min away from the hospital and it was hell imagine 3hrs. I dont recommend it.
Reply:I had a c-section one week ago today and i have been fine, i can walk and ride in a car with no problem. Just reading the other answers i could only tell you that everyone is different, i had no problems what so ever, and i feel like i could run a marathon and it has only been 7 days =]
Reply:It all depends on how YOU feel. I had a c/s and then was forced (yes, we had NO choice in the matter) by the Army to move 400+ miles when I was a mere 3 weeks postpartum. I did fine and recovered w/ ease. My section was not planned, but was not emergent either. I had no complications w/ the section or w/ healing. I was able to get up and down from sitting on the floor by day 10 postpartum.
Everyone is different and everyone will heal differently. My bigger concern w/ traveling for that great of a distance would be it's impact on breastfeeding. For the first several weeks I needed to nurse my daughter every hour or two. Three hours in a car would have been really uncomfortable from the breastfeeding standpoint.
Play it by ear. If you feel up to it, try it. If it wears you out, don't repeat it. Just don't push yourself. Pay close attention to what your capacity is.
Good luck.

How do you tone your belly after having a c section?
I have had two c sections and my lower abs are a train wreak! What's the best way to get my belly back to normal? Crunches really don't help my belly out.
How do you tone your belly after having a c section?
Wait a while and give yourself time to heal.
Squats, dieting, stretching, and lifting weights, crunches are best so it's possible you might not be doing them correctly??
Ball classes at gyms will help you lose weight and get toned while having fun, listening to music, and learning some good moves! Your local gym should offer a class!!

It is the speed at which electromagnetic radiation (cosmic rays, gamma rays, X-rays, ultraviolet light, visible light, infrared light, microwaves, radio waves) propagate (i.e. carry information) through a vacuum, and has been measured very precisely as 299792458 m/s or 186282.397 mi/s.
Reply:yes, agreed. though if you are doing calculations with "c" (aka speed of light) you may want to round the number to 3.0x10^8 m/s.

Does the owner of 10% of a private held C-corp have the right to request a audited financial sttament?
I am the owner of 10% of a private held c-corp..I have received no dividens for several years while the majority owners get large saleries and expence accounts. I would like to request an audited finacial statment to find out exactly whats going on.
Does the owner of 10% of a private held C-corp have the right to request a audited financial sttament?
Maybe yes and maybe no. It depends upon your state laws. Since you have certain rights as a minority stockholder go see a lawyer about this. The general underlying principle is that the majority employee stockholders can't discriminate to the detriment of the minority non-employee stockholders. Only the laws in your particular state can help you sort this out and you'll need a trusted lawyer for this not some unknown person on YA.
